How can I create a Thankbox?
Creating a Thankbox is a simple and thoughtful way to gather messages and contributions for someone special, whether it's for a birthday, farewell, work anniversary, or any other occasion.
Follow the steps below to get started:
Step 1: Create a Thankbox
Simply click on the Create a Thankbox button on the homepage or your Dashboard. If you are not logged in to your account yet, you will be asked to do this later in the steps.
Step 2: Fill in the basics
These include the recipient's name and the occasion for this Thankbox, which might be a birthday, retirement, wedding, etc. You should also choose a layout type which can be either a board or a card formatted.
Don't worry too much about this, as you can change it again after the Thankbox is created.
Step 3: Add optional extras
- Gift Card Collection: If you are planning to collect money for a gift, you can use our gift card collection feature. It will allow you to collect contributions from anyone who wants to be a part of the gift collection, and then easily send the collected amount with the Thankbox to its final recipient. Once they receive it, they will have the option to claim their collection as a merchant gift card or a prepaid card.
- Premium Thankbox: When you create a Thankbox, it will be Classic by default. However, you can upgrade to Premium at this stage or at any time before sending the card. The Premium Thankbox includes many additional features, such as attaching videos to messages, customising the background, icons, and fonts, and increasing the gift collection limit to £1,000/$1,000/€1,000.
If you are not sure if you want to add any of these extras to your Thankbox, you can add them later on.
Step 4: Finalise and create
This step requires you to decide whether you want to create the Thankbox and pay for it right away or later. If you choose the latter option, you can pay for the card before sending it by clicking the Pay for Thankbox button on the Thankbox management page (as shown in the last screenshot).
Step 5: Customize your Thankbox
After you've created it, use the left-side menu to customise the design to match the occasion. There are plenty of options for customisation and many helpful articles on our support page on how to use our features and manage your Thankbox.
