Can people contribute to a gift collection from overseas?

Yes, anyone can contribute to a Thankbox gift collection, no matter where they are in the world.

When you set up a Thankbox, you’ll choose a main currency for the gift collection: GBP, EUR, or USD. Don’t worry if contributors are sending money from a different country – their donation will be automatically converted into your chosen currency at their card provider exchange rate.

Here’s how it works:

• If someone donates using a card or bank account in another currency, their bank will handle the conversion automatically.
• The final amount charged may vary slightly due to the exchange rate and any fees their card provider might apply. We only add a small fee to each gift contribution to cover our payment processing & fraud check costs (read this for more details).

So - friends, family, or coworkers overseas can chip in with no extra steps - just enter the amount, pay and it’s done!
